Zaton Doli – Neum II is the first checkpoint you meet driving north from Dubrovnik on the old coastal road, at the southern end of the 9 km stretch of Bosnian coast around Neum. It is open 24 hours and is roughly 60 km from the Old Town.

  • If you are heading to Split, Makarska or Mostar, the Pelješac Bridge is usually faster and keeps you inside the EU the whole way.
  • Personal luggage is declared orally, but goods above the allowances must be declared to Croatian customs here.
  • If anyone in the car cannot enter Bosnia & Herzegovina, or the rental is not cleared for it, you must use the bridge — there is no way through the corridor without crossing the border.

Do I need a passport to drive through the Neum corridor?

You cross an international border twice, so every passenger needs a valid travel document. Whether a national ID card is enough depends on your nationality — confirm with the BiH Service for Foreigners' Affairs, and carry a passport if in doubt.

Can I avoid the Neum corridor?

Yes. Take the D8 north to Doli, cross the Pelješac Bridge, and rejoin the mainland at Ston. There is no border check and no toll on that route, and it has been open since July 2022.

Are there customs limits through the corridor?
