Cruise Ship Information.

Cruise arrivals change day-to-day. The official live schedule is published by the Dubrovnik Port Authority at portdubrovnik.hr. Bookmark it — it tells you which ships are in port, at what time, and how many guests.

A "quiet" day usually means 0–1 ships; a "busy" day can bring 4–6 ships and 12,000+ visitors concentrated between 10:00 and 14:00.

• Before 09:00

  Cruise passengers are still getting off ships and shuttling in. Locals are having coffee. Perfect light for photos.

• 13:30 – 15:30

  Cruise groups start heading back for lunch and on-board time. The Old Town breathes again.

• After 18:00

  Most ships sail by early evening. Golden hour and dinner service — the city at its best.

• Walk the walls at opening or last entry

  Anything in between during cruise days is uncomfortable — heat and queues.

• Enter through Ploče Gate

  Almost everyone comes through Pile. Ploče is calmer year-round.

• Use the side streets

  Stradun is the main artery. Prijeko, Od Puča, and their staircases are always quieter.

• Day-trip when cruises are heavy

  On 5-ship days, take a boat to the Elaphiti Islands or drive up the coast. Come back for dinner.
