Montenegro Tour – Kotor, Perast and the Budva Riviera

A full private day around the Bay of Kotor: the walled town of Kotor, the baroque waterfront of Perast, the island church of Our Lady of the Rocks and the beaches of the Budva Riviera.

About This Tour

The Bay of Kotor begins barely 90 km (56 miles) south of Dubrovnik, but it feels like another world: a deep, fjord-like bay hemmed in by mountains, with small stone towns strung along the water.

Kotor itself is a UNESCO listed walled town, compact enough to explore on foot, with a medieval old town of squares, churches and cats, and city walls climbing steeply up the hillside behind it for those who want the view.

Perast is the quieter highlight, a single row of baroque palaces facing two tiny islands. From the waterfront, small boats run out to Our Lady of the Rocks, an artificial island built up over centuries by local sailors.

If you would like more coast and less stone, we continue south to Budva, with its own old town and the long beaches of the riviera, and past the view over Sveti Stefan.

Your driver takes care of the route, the border formalities and the parking, and adjusts the day if the crossing is slow. This is a private driving tour rather than a licensed guided walking tour; a local guide can be arranged on request.
