Dubrovnik in November

These figures are long-term averages, useful for packing, not a forecast for your specific week. Expect daytime highs around 15-17°C early in the month, dropping toward 13-14°C by the end, with overnight lows commonly in single digits by late November. Rain is more frequent than October — typically 10-12 days across the month — and a proper storm or a few days of strong jugo wind are not unusual.

The sea cools to around 17-18°C, still bearable for a very brief dip on a warm afternoon but genuinely cold for most visitors. Daylight hours shrink noticeably too, with sunset around 4:30-5pm by month's end.

The City Walls remain open daily but on shortened winter-approaching hours, typically closing mid-afternoon to early evening. The cable car also runs shorter hours and can close early or pause entirely in high winds, which are more common this month.

The great majority of restaurants inside and outside the walls stay open year-round and November is a genuinely good month to eat well without a queue. Beach clubs and seasonal beach bars are closed for the year by now. Some smaller family-run cafés reduce their hours or take a short off-season break.

Island and coastal boat routes are on winter timetables — fewer sailings per day to the Elaphiti Islands, and some smaller-island routes pause until spring. Always check the current timetable rather than relying on a summer schedule.

  Old Town stone gets very slick when wet. Leave the sandals at home this month.

  Shorter days mean more evenings indoors — no bad thing with a glass of local wine.

Museums, the Rector's Palace, War Photo Limited, and long lunches in a warm konoba are the local move on a wet November day.
