Ferries & boats.
Lokrum, the Elaphiti Islands, Cavtat, Korčula and the catamarans north to Hvar and Split all leave from either the Old Port or Gruž.
Short answer
Lokrum boats leave the Old Port every 30 minutes (about €30 return, island entry included). Elaphiti Islands ferries (Koločep, Lopud, Šipan) leave Gruž several times daily from roughly €5–9 per leg. Catamarans to Hvar, Brač and Split leave Gruž and sell out in July and August.

Old Port (Gradska luka)
Inside the Old Town walls, by Ploče Gate. Lokrum boats, small Cavtat boats, island day trips and panorama cruises.
Gruž (Port Gruž)
About 3 km north-west. Jadrolinija ferries, Elaphiti lines, catamarans, cruise ships and the main bus station.
Main routes
Lokrum Island
Every 30 min, roughly 09:00–19:00, April–November. About €30 return including island entry. No overnight stays — the last boat is strictly enforced.
Elaphiti Islands (Koločep, Lopud, Šipan)
Jadrolinija from Gruž, 2–4 sailings a day. 30–90 minutes depending on the island, from about €5–9 per leg.
Cavtat
Seasonal passenger boats, several daily May–October, 45 minutes, about €15–20 one way.
Korčula (via Orebić)
Hourly in season, 15–20 minutes across the channel, from about €4 as a foot passenger.
Hvar / Brač / Split catamaran
1–2 daily in season from Gruž, 3.5–5 hours, from about €35–60. Book online well ahead.
Before you sail
Buy Jadrolinija tickets at the Gruž terminal before boarding — you cannot always pay on board.
Strong bura wind in spring and autumn cancels sailings with little notice. Always have a plan B for the return leg.
Boats are pebble-beach adjacent: bring water shoes, sun cover and cash for small island bars.
